In these trying and difficult times, it is imperative that we take care of not just ourselves but the animals around us too, especially our pets.

Continue caring for the dogs and cats in your home and those in the community, but with appropriate caution and precautionary measures, as you always have. While we all do our bit in our communities, please observe the safety rules for your own good and for the good name of animal welfare.

Follow these guidelines while taking care of the animals in your area:

Masks

Volunteers must make washable masks, to cover nose and mouth completely, to wear when out feeding dogs

Timings

Volunteers must walk individually between 6 AM and 8 AM only and not at any other time

Carry essentials

Carry backpack with feeding bowls, water and hand wash soap or sanitiser

Feeding bowl

Volunteer must pick up the feeding bowl after the dog has finished eating and wash before feeding the next time

No arguments

Do not engage with the police or local people in anyway. If you get into an argument or fight with the local community, your pass will be cancelled

No altercations

Volunteer must not altercate with any person, even if they are objecting to the feeding. Politely, move to another location and feed the dogs where people do not object

Create awareness

WHO confirms that animals do not communicate COVID-19. If required, explain this without removing your mask, from a distance of 3 meters. Make digital pamphlets and stick them at feeding locations

Personal hygiene

Volunteer must take a bath, wash mask, sandals and clothes with soap and water before interacting with family members

Vehicle cleanliness

The vehicle must be washed completely with soap and water after feeding activity

Misuse of Pass

Pass holders should NOT misuse the pass at any time
